In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “On the Way.”
Often the moments in between really count towards the whole experience.
This was taken on our awesome road trip a little way outside Golden, British Columbia. We had stopped at Golden for a bite to eat and had a very pleasant chat with the friendly waitress (aren’t they all in North America?) along with our amazing PB&J sundae. We had left Revelstoke earlier that morning and were on our way to Lake Louise and Banff National Park. Much of the scenery along the way on the road trip was stunning but I do seem to have a special awe of mountains. I remember very clearly driving alongside and amongst these mountains, cheerfully anticipating where we would stop next but drinking everything in along the way. I had wanted to see Lake Louise, Moraine Lake and Banff for such a long time (and they exceeded my expectations when I did!).
Snapped on iPhone from our hire car.
