In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Inspiration.”
Inspiration can spring from many sources. For me (like many others, I suspect!) travel is inspiring. Seeing things I haven’t witnessed before, soaking up the atmosphere of a foreign place, enjoying being somewhere out of the norm and exploring. Along with hoping to find my own take on sights already well-documented.
The picture above was taken at the Altar of the Fatherland (Altare della Patria) in Rome (also known as ‘The Typewriter’ and ‘The Wedding Cake’), a huge and incredibly ornate building. Shot on DSLR with a 28-300mm lens. Processed in Lightroom.
