Autumn Colours at Sheffield Park

On a recent weekend we visited a nearby National Trust property to see the beautiful seasonal colours reflected in the lakes.

It was a bright day with a slight chill in the air (unlike a more cloudy visit during the same season, four years ago). A morning mist was illuminated by sunlight finding its way through the trees, which felt quite magical.

This place is very popular during this time of year, and you can see why! My recommendation is to get there early, before the crowds. We were there before 10am, by the time we left (after 11am), the overflow car park was filling up fast.
