Continuing the weekly challenges for the Brighton Photographers Group on Facebook. The rules are simple, one image per theme (unless otherwise stated) and ideally shot the same week as the theme (ie no submitting from archives).
This week’s theme is “Black & White”, one of the more open prompts. We’ve had some glorious weather in the UK recently, and I remember from previous sunny days during the colder months that bright sun makes for great shadows and contrasts, which can suit monochrome images really well. Here I liked that the sun highlights the texture of the wall, along with the angles, shadows and open window.
Shot on Fujifilm X100T with the Monochrome and red filter film simulation. Tweaks applied in Lightroom Classic CC.
